Supervisor meeting notes Feb 2021 March 2021

Two supervisor meetings have been conducted with the week of Friday the 12th skipped due to student request (Mozilla festival workload)

• We reviewed the student and supervisor relationship and expectations along with the frequency of meeting.
• Set up meetings for the ongoing future
• Discussed sources of papers and technical needs/logins for various systems
• Spoke about how to structure research first 6 month - 1 year and how to do the part time phd structure
• Spoke about second and third supervisors as well as connected researchers and departments
• Spoke through previous contacts to prep for research activities e.g. IRC, Sim Sec
• Spoke about training courses and general research skills and writing growth including source books to acquire
• Booked an open lab talk about research
• Worked on literature review keywords, paper searches and type of literature review to complete.
• How to work on the initial research proposal and refine.
